Introduction of Phosphorous Acid Liquid
Phosphorous acid (H3PO3), also called orthophosphorous acid, are used worldwide to prevent or control downy mildew (DM) of crops,especially for grapes. Phosphorous acid is also known as phosphite or phosphonat, and is not the same thing as phosphoric acid (H3PO4) or phosphate, which is a source of phosphorus fertilizer.
Phosphorous acid is usually used in the preparation of other phosphorous compounds like phosphites. Salts like potassium phosphite are made from phosphorous acid. These salts are effective fungicides and are used to protect plants from infections like root rot and mildew.
